Re: Coolant Hose Split And Burst

I have fitted a TF expansion tank with integral sensor and a home designed circuit with buzzer. But this looks like a cheap solution if it works? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304578104507?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nv5k3E1FSbu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=jMKhIZz6RWi&var=&widget_ver=artemis...

Hi, the door mirrors are sprung loaded and do not fold. You will break them if you try.

Really? I regularly fold mine back when the car is in the garage to avoid knocking them and never had a problem.

Re: To flush or not to flush............

If both the oil and water appear to be clear of things that shouldn't be there, my advice would be to simply replace them as per standard service procedure.
Enjoy your new acquisition.

Re: Making it easier to remove the engine cover

I got fed up fiddling with the three little bolts - so got another lid and carefully cut to give the maximum opening for routine stuff, hopefully not weakening the structure. Used steel rivnuts, and new flanged bolts to keep the threads clean. The T bar fits closely up against the row of new bolts,...

Full length tonneau SOLD

Re: Seized bolts... Cambelt about 3 years over due..

Lower ball joint is a bit peculiar; you have to drill out or grind-off the rivets holding it on. The replacements are supplied with bolts to replace the rivets. The part is not expensive at all, the labour charge will be the big part of the bill if you take it to a workshop. https://rimmerbros.com/...

Re: MG TF Poor Starting & Running

Doesn't sound like anything mechanical so shouldn't be an expensive fix, once you've found the problem. Guess it depends how cheap "cheapish" is?

Re: Full length tonneau & wind break

It is compatible with the MG Original MG Black Steel and mesh windbreak. For other aftermarlket Windbreaks or roll hoops you may need to find a good hood maker or sailmaker. Geoff.F Many thanks Geoff. That's good because that's the windbreak I've got and I've just won the auction for a tonneau. My ...
