Re: Wanted - Rear Trophy Sphere
I had this issue & after a bit of research on Robs & Dieters websites I did exactly what you are talking about ie fitted the cone from the Trophy sphere into a standard F one & it drove just like the original Trophy one . I did contact Dieter a couple of weeks ago to ask him if he was aware of any c...

Re: got some lexus style lights but !!
OK checked the ones on the trophy & they did come with bulb holders & a short harness which plugs into the existing loom. I would have sworn that I used the original bulb holders but in my defence they were fitted about 6 years ago & the car has been sorn for the last 5 but will hopefully be back wh...

Re: got some lexus style lights but !!
Perhaps not all Lexus lights are created equal the ones we got were from Premier motors in Romford I will double check tomorrow as they were fitted a few years back but I am sure I would have remembered if I had the bulb holders.

You should not require any replacement wiring if I remember correctly they are a straight swap ie you just replace the housings & keep all the original wiring.

Re: MOT Fail, Rear Shocks and Exhaust Flexi
Again not used ECP for the F but had problems with an Anshler suspension spring for the Ford being so bad a fit that I had to return it also a clutch I bought from them for the Ford which turned out to be very poor in terms of durability. On a plus note found them very good when you wish to return s...

Re: Chipped Gearbox Repair advice needed
I work in the the white goods service industry & this stuff which is little more than epoxy putty has been around for years. It is actually very good & I have seen it used to repair punctured refrigeration systems in the past & it is currently used by manufactures to repair holes in washing machine ...

Well done pleased to hear you have it sorted it shows how easy it is to look way too deep sometimes when the problem is looking us in the face.

Re: I'm stumped: Project Shed won't start!!
I had a similar problem many years ago on an old Ford Cortina nothing like a K series you might say but the suck, squeeze, bang, whoosh principle is still valid. You say the spark looks adequate when you remove the pugs from the cylinders I thought exactly the same but it appears that when they were...

Re: TF ALTERNATORS
Is there a "how to" on servicing the Bosch alternator on the web? A quick google search will bring up loads of info http://www.wikihow.com/Rebuild-an-Alternator being the first one that came up the principles are much the same whatever the make and as the saying goes if man put it together man can ...

Re: TF ALTERNATORS
There must be a better quality alternative to this Bosch unit. Are all Bosch units tarred with the same stick? Unfortunately the tried and tested MM unit has completely different connections to the Bosch which makes fitting that unit a little harder than a simple plug and play. Anyone know what fai...

Re: SUPLEX REPLACEMENT SUSPENSION UNITS
This whole MOT issue is a case of wait & see I remember a few years back when changes to the type approval laws would have wiped out the kit car market overnight so after lots of protests & a bit of sense on the governments part they introduced the SVA test( single vehicle approval test ) problem so...

Re: urgent!! need help
I used a small compressor but a bit of imagination & a foot pump or the like should do the trick you do not need a lot of pressure as there is no resistance as such I just held a piece of rubber hose over the thread on the sphere by hand.
