You can use the cones from the old units easiest way to remove them is to pressurise the unit where the fluid hose fits with compressed air & they will just pop out as for refitting them if you do the same with the replacement units you can refit the cones by pushing them in place as you release the...

Maplins is a very good source of heat shrink sleeving :thumbsu: & I usually just hold the soldering iron close to it to do the shrinking bit ;)

Personally I am not a fan of crimping wires together as it always looks messy and runs the risk of creating a high resistance joint as it ages, by far the best way IMO is to solder them. cover the joint with heat shrink sleeving then tape it back into the loom :thumbsu:

Thanks guy for the sugestions :thumbsu: there are no obvious signs of HGF ie mayo but of course that is by no means any sort of gaurantee it is ok but all the plugs looked a nice uniform colour so there are no obvios signs of a dodgy cylinder. The HT leads are defianatly worth another look as it was...
