Re: The good news and not so good news
No the 75th and my Rover 75 CDT auto are being transported here as cannot spare the time to fly back and drive even one over plus cannot leave an 83 year old alone especially as she is partially sighted. Add that we are also house hunting that means transportation is our only option. It seems buying...

Re: AP racing calipers
When I fitted the 4 pots to "Elsie" my 97 VVC using washers I found that 2.8mm was the minimum t clear. Thought that was askign fro bother so wanted to go 4mm but ould not find any but 5mm spacers were easily available so used those with no problems. When it came to fitting the new 2 pots to the 75t...

Re: Faulty thermostat... MGF and the dissappearing coolant
Well the head is off and the gasket was fine. Thought it might have a MLS but turned out to be a normal polymer bead type. The issue was that dratted K-Seal muck that some numpty put in her!!! clogged water galleries in the head so have been cleaning it all up. The K-seal is all over the steel plate...

Re: Faulty thermostat... MGF and the dissappearing coolant
Took her shopping this afternoon an it was 6 1/2 miles gentle driving, we have no traffic jams on back roads so gentle up to 2000 rpm driving, before the coolant temp reached normal. On the return journey the oil temp needle moved so I might have gone a little too large, didn't measure the drill bit...

Re: Fitting Poly Bushes
When the suspension on the 75th was rebushed a coupe of years ago I used Durflex I believe and had noticed especially last year that the suspension was squeeking so the other day I applied spray grease to the edges of them all at the rear and silicone to the shock rubber bushes and since then the sq...
