Re: MPi stalling
The ECU would be the last item on my list of suspects, they are well built and don't suffer from poor soldering or dry joints. You can open the case, the aluminium cover is sealed in placed with a bead of mastic so the cover will end up like a sardine tin lid by the time you have finished! The board...

Re: Mems3 mapping
The pscan tool works fine for matching the engine ECU to the Pektron SCU. Remember, the learning process is done via the engine ECU, it is told to learn the immobiliser code being presented to it. In this regard it is dumb, it just needs the code to be in the correct format, it doesn't matter if the...

Re: Mems3 mapping
The immobiliser code formats are the same for the 5AS and Pektron SCU (also for the Land Rover 10AS and 27VT), so any MEMS ECU can be security matched to any of these immobiliser modules, although T4 may throw a fit if the
matching is being done via a VIN.
matching is being done via a VIN.

Mark must be able to reprogram the ECU as in the original configuration the instrument cluster was required as it acted as a data bus gateway.

Re: 5AS tool progress and Pektron wanted.
The EWS immobiliser data stream on the 75/ZT is totally different to the relatively simple stream from the 5AS (or 10AS, 27VT or Pektron SCU which are the same), the EWS enabled MEMS3 ECU won't learn the 16 bit 5AS code.
