Its good to know that MG Rover continued the long MG tradition of never doing anything by the book. In the world of Abingdon MGs there are people who will tell you chapter and verse of what the factory did, but there are well proven exceptions.

That helps too, my car has some Starlight Silver left on the inside of the sills under the carpet.

Everything that can be seen easily in the engine bay and under the boot carpet is painted body colour.
