A 2004 gear knob definitely unscrews anticlockwise. I had one which was threadlocked on and used a strap oil filter tool to remove.

Not inevitable, 125 k done. Still on original headgasket I believe. I have owned the car for 10 years with the engine pushed hard on track days ect.

Hi, I would suspect that the cam timing is correct if the engine was running fine. It looks like the cam sprockets have been fitted incorrectly. The cams have a roll pin which have to go in the correct slot which is marked as in or ex. I would check that first. Clear image here. https://thumbsnap.co...

I used this headling fabric from eBay number 302234082544 with a can of spray Trimbond, total cost around £15 and a hour. Have a look at YouTube, loads of guides on there.

Hi, unplug the Lamba sensors and remove with the exhaust. The system needs to be dismantled to remove. Spray the nuts and bolts with penetrating fluid and they may come off. I would drain the oil to see if water is present in the sump. I could be the inlet manifold gasket if the car has been stood for some time but could also be a slow external leak
