Re: Evo Triangle revisited with MGTF

Great pics David. Nice car too ;)

Doing the Evo triangle is on my agenda too. I was hoping for that perfect combination of opportunity and good weather to align this summer but as it didn't, I will hold the hope till next year.

Re: MG end car production in the UK

I once saw a red Civic Aerodeck with Rover badges I've seen this car in one of its iterations, and no it wasn't an MGR vehicle but a private conversion. Honda's conversion of the Civic from hatch to Aerodeck was pretty ropey (far less success that Rover's hatch to saloon) but nevertheless would hav...

Re: MG end car production in the UK

Was Honda a good bedfellow for Rover? I am not actually so convinced. The R8 Rover 200 was a masterclass of how to repurpose a Honda product for Europe. It was very attractive, well built, competitive and built across an almost bewildering number of body styles. A finest hour in the swansong that w...

Just a small correction above. Both colours are rare.

I think that's the eyes on the subframes - the rear eye is for pulling the car out of the hedge when the back end's given way

Re: Changing colour... Help needed!!

Don't suspect that the subframe is affected as it has only a minor scratch and a bended tow point also the crash cans and the bumper are bended the hit was at lower than 15Km/h 7 My towing eye was also bent and it was that that gave me the most concern - the towing eye is mounted to a body member u...

Maybe they have sent MGF flaps. Are there any part numbers on the mudflaps or the packaging?

Re: Changing colour... Help needed!!

Sorry to hear about your knock. My TF had rear damage similar to yours - the car was written off despite the lack of damage. I replaced the bumper, crash cans, exhaust back box, flexi pipe and ignored the dented outer boot skin. The subframes weren't affected so make sure yours aren't before you con...

Re: Tall people..are mgf and tf uncomfortable?

I'm 6'3" and of average build. I fit in my TF reasonably comfortably albeit snugly. I have fitted the seat lowering kit (c.£20) which drops the base by 20mm or so, and ground off the small washers under the front runner mounts for a few crucial extra mm. Small differences but every little helps! I w...

Re: Seats

Seats are interchangeable between any MGF/TF but not from the ZR/ZS/ZT as the runners are different and seats are a fair bit bigger. There is a large selection of seats on ebay; price vary widely with some breakers charging £300+ for rare leather/alcantara types, but regular fabric seats are availab...

UPDATE Horns now sold Indeed it has! I didn't realise it was a fellow forum member selling. It'll be one of the many little upgrades the TF will receive before being put back on the road in April. Yes, the centre console and dial surround in the 115 models are plain black.

A walnut-effect heater surround panel from a Rover 25 can be adapted to fit your MGF.
