Re: Different tyres
MKII F - 215s all round for over 90,000 miles and find them absolutely fine on both motorway and twisties. To be honest since the 80th has had the Bilsteins fitted (195s up front) I find very little difference between the two (extra oomph from the 80th aside )

Hi Graham
Ive had the Falkens on my F for a few years (16s all round) and find them absolutely fine (also got them on the TF). If they needed to be changed tomorrow I would get Falkens again.

Re: Rattling Wind Stop?
I have a Perspex windstop in mine and after a couple of years it started rattling against the blocks with the screws in and against the central locater. I have cut small bits of felt to size and used a couple of layers to pad out the gaps between the central locater and gap between the Perspex and t...

Re: MGLive! 2017 - 17th & 18th June
I liked the new layout, everything seemed to be part of the same event and everything within easy reach... bringing in the auto testing/solo gave us something new to watch (cheering on favourites) - who knows, next year the spectators may be participants  A big thanks to all those who gave up t...

Re: Insurance companies??
I had my F on a 3k limit policy for a while. When I needed to use the F to go to Scotland unexpectedly I rang them and they increased the mileage to 5k immediately - it cost me about an extra £50 (but this was a few years ago)

If you're not using your 5k mileage have you thought about reducing to 3k?

My 2001 F is still on its original cat (currently on 110k+ miles). Like Jerry's, the flange rotted a few years ago so I got a new one welded on.

Re: Shock Absorber Replacement
As Steve said, we got the Monroes from Jagspares (aka David Manners).. nothing untoward in the transaction/delivery and got exactly what we asked for. The Monroes replaced those factory fitted to the F when it was new back in 2001 and which had lasted over 100k miles before there was any deteriorati...

Re: Monthly pub meet - New venue for Feb 16 onwards
I'm told they don't put puddings on the website because they regularly change their puddings and folk are disappointed when the website pudding isn't available.... if it re-assures you Keith, they do puddings with cream, ice-cream or custard - last night they had sticky toffee pudding, syrup sponge,...
