Re: radio and clock stopped working
Thank you everyone for your replies. Just checked, the interior lights dont work, so i will change the fuse when i get home from work tonight. It would be nice to have some music as i tour Bournemouth and the New Forest tomorrow!. Will let you know what happens.

Fast idle
Hi folks
my '97 VVC wont drop below 14- 1500 revs at idle, i used to be able to blip the throttle and it would drop below 1000rpm, although it makes town driving interesting, any ideas how i can fix it?. Thank you.

DIFFICULTY CLOSING THE HOOD
Hi, i bought my 1997 mgf vvc a couple of months ago, and the chap had replaced the rear window himself, but i find the soft top really hard to close as it seems too tight, sometimes i have to unzip the window, then the hood latches fine, then the problem is zipping it back up again!. Is there any wa...

3000 RMP WARM UP LIMIT
I have read that some people say that you shouldn't exceed 3000 rpm, during the warm up phase, which can be up to five miles, is this true?. A very well known mobile mechanic says no, and i give it about a mile, or when the water temp says normal.Anybody have any thoughts?

Russel arrived about 8 am this morning , turns out the H/G was ok, so he did the timing belt and pumped up the suspension, and was gone before 10 !.

My take on the MGF
I bought a p reg MK1 MGF VVC on Saturday, i had never driven one before and i love it. This is a personal opinion so feel free to disagree. They are super value now. You can get them rust proofed for £250- £300 and once the H/G, water pump, belts and hoses have been done, you have a depreciation proo...
