traction control?

Hi

Do MGFs have traction control?
I think the way traction control should work is that is the back is slipping out then the power to the throttle is cut.

I bought eBay touch up paint. Tahiti blue, I'm just bursting the rust and tapping on a bit of paint, as better than rust.

Re: soft-top to body seal - Neoprene rubber foam tape?

Getting round to fitting the rubber and it a tight fit. Especially on the sharper curve, but it went on, however when I opened up the rear of the soft top the trim popped out, guess the tight fit gripped the trim too tightly, but I think I can live with it.

headlamps - terrible on dipped

Hi I've been reading up on the headlamps, as the MGF I bought about 6 months ago has HID full beam, and 2 sets of spotlights when on full beam, but when dipped the light is terrible. Do people get then reflectors re-chromed - if so any recommendations? The headlamp units sound delicate to take apart...

Re: MGF - Stainless Steel Coolant Pipes or not

Hi all

My plan is to just top-fluids up this years and enjoy driving the car, will see what leaks. But the long-term plan will be to get some SS pipes, am going to MG live so see what is available there. Cheers Giles

Re: Correct Gearbox Oil ?

Hi all Interesting, I have ordered from ebay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111648896111 To top-up with, as I have a drip from one of the driveshaft seals :-( And I was in the 'discount motor center' chatting with them, and his system was saying MUMTF PLUS 75-80 (as MUMTF 75-80 was discontinued) This ...

MGF - Stainless Steel Coolant Pipes or not

Hi I am going to change the coolant on my mgf and it was suggested that I change the coolant pipes at the same time, the old ones are a little rusty but then they are under the car and 18 years old. My plan was to change the engine and gear box oil and coolant as I bought the car end of last year an...

soft-top to body seal - Neoprene rubber foam tape?

Hi I'm looking at the perished foam around the back of the soft-top to body-work that is exposed when you want to get access to the engine. What material is it made of? I am thinking of getting some 20mmx6mm NEOPRENE RUBBER SELF ADHESIVE SPONGE STRIP from ebay. Has anyone else got suggestions? Thank...

Re: number plate LOOK MG

Take the valuation money and run if you can. Valuation and what you can actually sell tend to be v. different is my experience but good luck.

Back to the car...
Where in the country are you, locations of car?
And is the car kept inside out out?
Paper work and story of the cars past?

Cheers

Photos of the car warts and all! Rust dents scratches. Where is car? No MOT it's not worth much. One with MOT went for £350.

Trick is to be able to get rid of carcass. If you have trailer this is OK, but if not drivable have a plan. And agree it is with more as spares Cheers Giles
