sorted - ended up being the drivers door lock at fault - what a faf to try and fail to get out of the door due ot the additional lock rod - swapped over the lock and now no conitnu alarm! taken off the hard top as it so warm and tomorrow will be washing and detailing.. so , anyone needs the odd bar,...

2004 alarm going off

1.8 petrol - replaced the passenger door catch/lock as the original was faulty - now when the car is locked (remote centrol locking works fine) after 15 seconds the alarm sounds - to me that would indicate a faulty microswitch in the lock but any other ideas please

12.74v on a standing battery is fine, charging @13.95 is ok if not startling i'd expect around 14.2/3 v . my 2004 1.8 flattens her battery in 2 -3 weeks if left standing - no curent drain, ecu goes into sleep mode fine so fitted an old tech car-disconnect to the battery £12 and fine ever since as lo...

I have a pscan and am in goole - no use for my 2004 mgtf for fob programming yet but if you get a fob your'e welcome to pop over and programme it yourself

READ the threads = new batt in march drain is 0.05 amps goes flat in 2 weeks, alternator 13.9volts on charrge. bought a new battery for my scimitar same time and has been stood for 7 weeks and only just turned over today = will take batt back to halfords to drop test
