To £25 I edited the original post (foolishly!). Postage? Well depends which service someone may wish to use but I'd guess about £6-7.

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?

Today I fitted a new rear screen after breaking the old one last week by putting the hood down when it was cold. Had to change the zip carrier too as the zip was not a normal MG one. One Peter Jones of MGF Mania was extremely helpful and knew exactly what I was talking about. Thank you Peter! That f...

Re: Starting issues - fuel delivery\immobilisor Issues?

I had a similar thing with my TF. I needed a front bumper which go for about £250. Found a spares/repairs TF with a good front bumper which I bought for £320. It was in far better nick than my other one and only needed an alternator and fob battery. Went straight through the MOT so I kept it and sol...

Tonneau cover

I have a black tonneau cover for sale. It fits both F's and TF's. The foam backing has crumbled but is still perfectly usable. £25 plus postage. If you are near Norfolk I may well be able to drop it off if I'm out for a drive!

Not in a F but a TF on separate occasions;- Four 15" wheels. Four 16" wheels. A TF door and two front wings (together with a suitcase, sports bag and miscellaneous stuff for 200 miles).

Re: Wheel alignment advice needed

Your car will pull slightly to the left when you let go of the wheel due to road camber (or fall). This means that the road slopes slightly to the left so that water runs off into the gutter. That is if the road does not have a sharp right-hand bend. Just bear this in mind when letting go of the whe...

Re: New alternator

Cheapest place I have found for an alternator and other parts (other than the Bay of E) is Carparts4less. They are the online version of ECP and give good service. A TF alternator from them is about £74 delivered. Delivery is quick but you can obviously pay for quicker delivery. I got an alternator ...

Re: I have twins!

Between them about 650 pounds. Sterling that is! The latest is in better condition than the first so when I have got the alarm and immobiliser to switch off I'll be able to assess the engine. I have tried to resync them but I think the fob battery is dead. Also needs an alternator but not sure wheth...

I have twins!

Well I have twins. Yep two MG TFs in Trophy blue! I have just picked the second up so no pics yet. They were registered about three weeks apart but the latest acquisition seems in better condition than my current one. Needs a new alternator and an MOT hence the spares/repairs on the bay of E and a c...

A long shot...

Yep a bit of a long shot but I was wondering if anyone in the Norwich area had a car transporter trailer that I could borrow/hire at the beginning of September to collect a TF? Will need it for about half a day or an evening.

Re: Fuel smell on acceleration and lumpy idle

Actually having thought about it that could be the problem as it smells very rich on start up as though the choke (for those that remember them!) is stuck on. I might change the coolant sensor to see if that helps. Thanks

Fuel smell on acceleration and lumpy idle

I have a 2003 TF 135 and have noticed (with the roof down) that on larger throttle openings I get a faint fuel smell in the car. I suspect it is unburnt fuel circulating in the air and being pulled back into the cabin. In addition the idle is 'lumpy' as though it has a misfire on one cylinder althou...

Radio interference

I have a 2003 TF 135 and I am experiencing interference on the radio. It seems as though it is a faulty suppressor (if anyone can remember those on distributors) as it rises a little with revs. Anything I should check? I was wondering if it was something like a faulty spark plug or lead as it sounds...

Is it possible??

Is it possible to transport a TF wing and door on the passenger seat of a TF? I think with the window down on the door I picking up it should fit. Would a front bumper be going too far? I know that I can carry quite a bit of stuff in a TF - like 4 spare wheels (no tyres) with room to spare. I got 3 ...

Re: Winter tyres

Sorry I didn't make myself quite clear. I am aware of the benefits of winter tyres as our fleet at work uses them. You do not need snow to have the benefit as they perform as well or better than summer tyres between 7 and 15 C. Below 7C it is a no brainer as they just grip and disperse water far bet...

Winter tyres

I am considering buying a set of winter tyres for my TF as I will be using it all year. Has anyone got experience of using winter tyres and, if so, what brand is best (subjective I know). I know we have not got to summer yet but now is the best time to get a set! Plus they do make a difference when ...

There are two in that fuse box, one on the bottom row and one on the top row as I found the other day when I blew one of them!
