My Mgf has condensation in both headlamps and I wonder if this is common and is there a mod perhaps to sealing the headlamps please?

Re: steptronic queerie

An update with the gear selection ,I removed and refitted the gear selection knob and everything works as it should now. I think the knob wasnt locked on properly and I have tried the car on the road andd all is good. 😊

Re: steptronic queerie

Thats a big help Stu, at least I have protection to stop going into reverse gear with the inhibitors.
I think I need to remove the gear lever knob to start with and see if something is missing on the button change.
many thanks 👍

On my recent purchase Mgf 2000 steptronic, I can change from drive straight into reverse gear without having a stop point.
Is this normal or is there an adjustment/something missing please as other auto cars that I have ownedyou had to push a button in on the gear stick.?

My Mgf lives mostly on my drive and although I have a hard top fitted in the winter,I get alot of damp/condernsation inside the vehicle.I do try to control the odd drips into the car when it rains and wonder if anybody has tried a dehumidifier or any other gadget to help the overnight damp please?

Alarm issue

My alarm was going off randomly on my 2000 F,once or twice a day with no reason. I locked the door with my key and the alarm didnt go off in 2 days, however I now find my central locking doesnt work on the key or the button remote.
Any ideas please?
