Brake lights again!

Hi guys/gals. The old problem of brake lights staying on has reared it's ugly head again on my'98 model MGF. It has the early plastic plunger type switch, I fitted a new switch a couple of months ago and all was fine but the problem has returned.I have pulled the switch plunger, all ok for a few day...

Re: MGF clutch pressure loss.

Clutch problem solved! Although the slave cylinder looked fine it was a pattern jobby, replaced with a genuine AP Lockheed item and clutch now works fine. Moral of the story, fit genuine parts! Many thanks to the guys at Just Right Autos and Steve at Everest Motors Tewkesbury for all the helpful adv...

Re: MGF clutch pressure loss.

Don't think it's the release arm, it was given a good lubing when master cylinder was fitted.
I regularly give it a spray lube and it seems fine.

Re: MGF clutch pressure loss.

Slave cylinder newly fitted just before I bought the car 2years ago. Pipework all seems sound with no obvious leaks and fluid level in master cylinder has not dropped at all.

MGF clutch pressure loss.

Had a new clutch master cylinder fitted back in February, all was fine until 2 weeks ago and suddenly lost clutch pedal pressure. Limped the car home, my mechanic's opinion was that the master cylinder had failed as there was no fluid loss and no obvious leaks. Bought a new master cylinder, towed ca...

Sudden clutch failure

I checked the fluid level, a little low but not dangerously so. The car was recently fitted with genuine oem master and slav...

Re: Car feels unstable!

Found the source of handling problem on my F. Some clown in the car's previous ownership had replaced the nearside rear wheel bearing using a drive flange with a large chunk knocked out of it, probably caused by chiseling the old bearing off.The car has only covered 2,000 miles in my ownership which...

Re: Car feels unstable!

My '97 mgf has developed a worrying handling problem. When driving along if I lift off the throttle the car veers to the right, accelerate and it straightens up again. I had new Falken 914 tyres fitted 2 weeks ago hoping this might help as they seem to be the tyre of choice, but problem is still ther...

Re: where to get Hydragas pumped up ????

Does anyone know of a garage in the Hereford/ Abergavenny area that has a hydragas pump? My mgf suspension is currently at 13.75 inches (350mm), is this inside the acceptable boundaries?
