Re: Is DAB any good in the TF?
I fitted a Sony unit that requires no screen aerial and runs off the OE aerial, I just had to plug a couple of aerial wires together before fitment, easy. The radio works very well on both FM & DAB but if you read up on DAB the quality is not as good as FM, I agree but as I'm not listening to low v...

Re: SRS light driving me mad!
I had the SRS issue a while ago (05TF) ....cleaning the connectors with contact cleaner and then using a small cable tie around them to stop them working loose again solved it for me.

Re: SRS Light On - now fixed
I had the same, and after cleaning the contacts I put a small cable tie around the connector blocks to keep them tight together. Not had any problem since.

Re: Heater Blower Fan Resistor JGM100110A
If you can use a soldering iron you can solder in replacement resistors. Rezpaz used to sell a pack on eBay but I can't locate it at the moment. . The one you are looking for is Rezpax (http://www.rezpax.com/). Don't seem to be selling via eBay at the moment but maybe contact them direct. I did min...

Re: Door Speaker grills
Having broken a couple of these I have replaced them twice without the need to take the door card off - just a gentle use of a wide bladed screwdriver to flip them out and the new ones push fit back. They are so easy to damage whilst getting in/out of the car that most will have been replaced more t...

Re: Rear View Mirror - Stop Shaking!
Can confirm it works - I used a couple of pieces of thin card and it is a definite improvement.

Re: Hello from Buckinghamshire
in addition to the good suggestions made by others, when I can't fix something myself I've used one of the excellent mobile guys - but also MGRS in High Wycombe. Ex-MGR mechanics Robert & Simon (the R&S) have always been exceptionally honest & helpful, and at a fair price for a garage. They did/do ...

Hello from Buckinghamshire
Bought my 2006 135 TF a year ago from Church Sq Autos and had a lot of fun with it. Finally now got round to joining the register and meeting a few other owners. I'm near Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire - interested to hear any recommendations for mobile mechanics or workshops in the area that I cou...

Re: Random Horn sounding
For the benefit of anyone with a similar problem - a change of battery seems to have solved this issue.

Re: Random Horn sounding
An update - My suspicion is that this may be related to the car battery not having enough charge, and possibly needing replacement. I used the car for a couple of runs - and had no horn activation again until it had sat back in the garage for a few days. Measured the battery voltage and only 12.1v ....

Random Horn sounding
Hello Have just recently acquired a very nice 2005/6 MG TF 135. I have a problem in that whilst the car is parked, every few hours the horn sounds - not like the alarm going off, it is just a single blast. There doesn't seem to be any sign of an alarm activation and the car is starting and running w...
