Re: MOT

Use the TfL ULEZ online vehicle check. I put my 2001 MGF in and it came back exempt. So no worries.

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?

Full service including new plugs, ignition packs and 8mm performance leads. Amazing how it has smoothed out the engine, now purring like a happy cat.

Re: Hello all

Boot open light on. I had this, very annoying, turned out to be a fuse. Check them.

Re: Hello from a newbie

Hello and welcome. I bought my first MG, a 2001 Solar red 1.8 MGF 18 months ago. I have loved driving this car and since bought a 1972 MGB GT. The MGF however is the car I drive every day and after some initial work has never let me down. Good luck with yours and I hope you enjoy it every bit as muc...

Had a similar problem on mine a while ago. Turned out to be a dodgy sparkplug. Easily sorted thankfully

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?

Finally got round to fitting the 52mm throttle body I bought for £40 at Easter.
Haven't taken it on a proper run yet but it sounds great and the throttle response on low gear is definitely better.

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?

Well I was chuffed that I replaced my split rear window with a glass one. Looks great and only took me 30 minutes. Just got back from a 400 mile round trip to Scunthorpe and my 2001 MGF 1.8 performed perfectly. The more I drive this car the more I love it. :D

Re: New to this forum

Hi Hammond Lovely looking car. Like the front and rear spoilers and wheels are very nice are they 16 inch? My MGF is solar red too and after a bit of outlay on engine, suspension etc it really is an awesome car to drive. Will be adding on a few extras such as spoilers etc when finances allow. Your p...

Re: New to this forum

Hi
Bought my first MGF a month ago. Has spent most of that time in the garage and cost a fortune. But now purring like a kitten and a joy to drive. Mine's solar red like yours a 2001 1.8. Am now saving up for all the mods I can lay my hands on.

Re: First Time MGF Owner - Hi

Hi Just saw your post today. I bought my first MGF three weeks ago and love it. I'm over in North London myself but grew up in Essex near Grays. My MGf is a solar red 2001 mk2 1.8i and is unfortunately in the garage already due to overheating and suspected HGF  There is an ever increasing list ...

New MGF owner North London

To be perfectly honest I have just become an MGF owner completely by accident. I have been looking for something sporty to work on as a project for some time now and was thinking of a Hyundai Coupe maybe a BMW 3 series coupe (what was I thinking, but I was on a budget). My wife then got me to widen ...
