Re: MGF Wedgwood SE For Sale
There was absolutely no interest either on this Forum, or from my local MG Club. But, I have found a good home, on Tuesday 'Josie' will be going to a local charity which supports young people with learning difficulties. They re-condition cars and sell them to raise money for their activities. I'll u...

Might be worth contacting a courier, such as DPD
to see what they would charge.

Re: MGF Wedgwood SE For Sale
Thank you, I'm hoping for a good home for 'Josie', she's ready to jump into and drive away. Mind you a van will be needed for all the parts I have.

MGF Wedgwood SE For Sale
Regretfully I have to sell my F, a 2000 Wedgwood SE, sold originally by Edwards of Stratford. I have had the car for 4.1/2 years. I am now a full-time carer and have no time to myself. MOT until March 2022, has covered 90,000 miles. Comes with, matching Hardtop, with Stand and Cover. Spare Front Sub...

Re: CODE WAIT
Michael,
I've got the builders in at present and my MGF Files are all packed away. They'll be finished in a month or so, I'll have a look for it as soon as I'm back to something like normal.

Re: Hi all!!
Use the car more, or put it on axle stands when you don't use it. The cracking is caused by the bottom of the tyres being under compression while standing for a considerable time.
Re: Mug
Hello, and welcome. Being sensible all the time can be quite boring, and it would appear that you are already enjoying being an MGF owner. It will be interesting to see how things progress.

I'm looking for the instrument panel cowl, as the lugs on mine have gone. Is this one alright?
Thanks.

Re: My new 'freestyle' project
The seats look pretty good, usually an indication the car has been looked after. There seems to be some wear on the steering wheel. I've found that "Scuffcote", which we used on our son's school shoes, works really well and is long lasting.

Re: Window zip in the roof
The window should be un-zipped to enable it to lie relatively flat when the roof is folded. To re-zip the window fold the latches out so that they rest on the top of the catches when you fold the roof forward. The roof is then not in tension and you can zip the window up more easily. Once you've re-...

You might do better with Plus Gas as a releasing agent, I've always found it works better than WD40.

Re: Hydragas regassing (again)
My 1997 MGF suspension has reached the end of its life. It was pumped up to 400 psi and 365mm height five years ago but has now sunk back to 350mm and the ride is dreadful, like a plank on roller skates. I missed this comment when I originally read the post. It reminds me of the 1940s and the first...

Re: MGF Problem starting and then stops after a few minutes
One thing that is worth trying is Super Unleaded. My F hadn't been used for several months, and was running rather roughly. It needed fuel, so I filled it with Super, after a few miles there was a noticeable difference. The engine was more responsive, ran more smoothly and appeared to accelerate bet...

Re: New Owner of 1999 MGF, have we done the right thing?
Hello Gary, and welcome to the Forum. Don't worry about your purchase being a wise buy, it will certainly become a classic in due course. Enjoy your unique acquisition, such low mileage is certainly a rarity at the age of your car. One thing you may need to be aware of is the head gasket situation. ...

Welcome to MGF ownership and the Forum. Which model do you have? My F is also a 2000 model, a Wedgwood SE, 90,000 Mls and also purrs like a kitten, yes, I have a standard exhaust.

Re: Mgf braking problem
All MGFs and TFs suffer from bulkhead flex under braking. This can be off-set by fitting a brace to the Servo. This subject has been covered on the Forum before, so if you do a forum search, the magnifying glass symbol to the right at the top of the title page, you should get the information you need.

Re: What colour to paint my AP brake calipers?
I would have been inclined to have painted the hub part of the disc, as that always becomes rusty over time.
