Thanks, I think it might be a poor earth to the engine / body- will check that out tomorrow, strange but problem just happened when I'd left the car for 2 days when I went on a business trip. Was fine before.

Have fitted a new battery and MGOC exchange NAD500 starter to my MGF 1800 (not VVC) but starter just clicks and doesn't turn engine over, bumps starts and runs but does not start from key, possible earth problem to engine? Haven't checked that out yet.

Any answers appreciated!
