Upgrade fitted and problem cured. Much smoother and for some reason the car seems a lot better, recommended and took an hour.

It's not just a matter of ensuring that the pins are greased - the pad backing plates have to be free to move relative to the caliper carrier. New pads can either have paint on the bearing surface (the bits that are at 90° to the pad face) or might even need a quick pass over a grindstone to ensure...

pins are all free and have just cleaned them all out again and greased up but to be fair have only driven about 150 miles. Will bed them in and see how they wear.

definitely not leaking and the more I listen to it the more I'm convinced it's the baffles that are gone. That the trouble with buying off auction sites secondhand !

Thanks for that it appears after a lot of investigation the exhaust is not oem and prone to popping. Just going to live with it.

Good evening, just had the belts replaced on my VVC and a new cat and exhaust back box as well. Now the car is popping under deceleration, two or three times when cold and not so much when warmed up. Good evening, just fitted some new Pagid pads to the front of the VVC and after 200 miles I notice that the pads are only using about two thirds of the disc are and the area on the disc near the hub is untouched, ie still rusty. Both sides are exactly the same. Is this normal or have I missed someth...

could anyone please advise the require spark plug for my MGF VVC on a 98 plate ? There are a lot of different types and as I only do about 4-5k in the car a year I wonder which one's are best suited.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
