Re: Gravity exhaust

No experience myself but I did read somewhere that they are the same as the Toyo ones. The person who posted said that there was a problem with the installation, I don’t remember exactly what it was but involved some welding. The poster also said the stainless was thin but was happy with it when fi...

If it sags, it will be the hinge bush. I had to replace mine on the 85th. Mike Satur sells a hinge refurb kit. https://www.mikesatur.co.uk/-MGF-MGTF-S ... repair-kit
Those are door hinges, I think OP is looking for a bootlid hinge

Gravity exhaust

Right, so, here we go again... Looking for a nice sounding exhaust system for my TF 135 with Kmaps tune. Have the standard system now, but it and the pops are too civilised really. The TT is just way too loud, the Scorpion is kind of meh, so, what's next? I had a Toyosports exhaust on my F, which I ...

Re: The age old tyre subject

Out of interest how does it drive with 205/45/16 tyres all round? The reason that I ask is that I have recently acquired a set of wheels in good condition with almost new 205/45/16 Falken tyres for the princely sun of £110. With the bills mounting up for the other work that I am doing it would be a...

Re: Door alignment

I'd have a look at the lower hinge - usually alignment is pretty good from the factory - certainly not out like this - so I guess the hinge has been removed from the A-pillar in the past? I guess, the car has had front damage in the past, partial respray of the front. I've just replaced the driver'...

Door alignment

Couldn't find much usable info on this, except that it seems to be quite common.. The right side door (drivers side on RHD, passenger side on LHD) is not sagging, but misaligned. https://i.postimg.cc/5t5vc8n8/PXL-20220714-114944602-PORTRAIT.jpg Any hands-on tips on how to correct this are very much ...

Re: I just bought a 75th anniversary MGF VVC

That coolant looks like it should, congratulations. Even the oil looks good, but I guess that oil is from March 2020 as well, so yes, a change is a good idea. Check if it is all OK after a firm drive, no bubbly stuff in the coolant tank, no white smoke when warm etc. If the coolant tank is old and b...
