Re: Anyone with a pscan in Bournemouth area?
A bit of a follow-up. Problem solved by a local mechanic. I had been keeping it unlocked in the drive for a couple months and had been fine as long as not locked. I had a chat with a local 'family run' shop and one of the lads was real keen on newer MGs. He has a V6 MGZR. He worked some magic and al...

Re: Anyone with a pscan in Bournemouth area?
Hi Nigel, I had problems with the locks about a year ago- the ratty-tat tats and getting locked inside the car (with the hard top on!!) replaced the mechanisms with new at that time, ££££ ouch!. The door is now closed and door card on, so hard to check mechanism. I do have a car-locksmith coming tom...

Anyone with a pscan in Bournemouth area?
Is there anyone in the Bournemouth area with a pscan diagnosis tool? I have a problem with the unlocking driver's door lock. The lock was replace less than a year ago and is not not working again. I've tried calling 4 local auto locksmiths and have not received a call back from any. If someone can h...

Re: Temp gauge and Tacho died
It may be a red herring, but I had the same in my 1999 MGF last autumn.
The battery soon after died.
After a good re-charge, both were OK again and have been for about 6 months.

Hi Nigel,
Deb and I plan on attending, but in our Magnette rather than the MGF.
We will look you up, introduce ourselves and say hello.
As we live in Bournemouth we will catch up with you there.
Cheers,
Kent and Deb

Re: Hard top headlining
Rob,
That was my thought. I have been using noico. It seems to be a German version of dynomat but cheaper.
It comes in silver or black. Using the black where it can be seen is not quite as "in your face"

Re: Hard top headlining
Mine has done the same. I have just taken the board off and am cleaning it off in preparation of relining. I have also been doing some other catch-up chores like doing the door hinge pins and fitting the windows better. While having off the door panels off I've lined doors with sound deadener, oh an...

Hello All,
My least favourite area. Lectriks, Temp gauge and Tacho died.
Checked fuses- number one should do gauges and turn indicators. Indicators are OK, but switched
fuse anyway. No change. Any suggestions?
1999 MGF.
Thanks in advance,
Kent

Re: Hard top polish recommendations
The hard top does not have a clear coat, so you will probably get some black paint on your polish pad and cloths- don't worry that is what they do.

Re: Hard top polish recommendations
I would suggest Autoglym paint restorer.
It removes the 'dead' paint only.
