My car / Top Gear photoshoot!
Sadly not the TF but my Fiat Coupe 16v  TG are sorting their 30th Anniversary edition and having an article on the most iconic cars launched in the UK during that time with the coupe being one of them 8-) To cut a long story short I'm heading to Brooklands Museum for the photoshoot on Monday s...

Re: Another year, another pass
Yup likewise - just got the call and have two advisories on rear pads and rear wheel bearing. Checked the previous MOT and noticed that emissions were borderline so chucked in a full bottle of Redex Emissions before taking it for a decent run yesterday. Obviously wasn't an issue so whether it did th...

Re: MG 100 centenary Gaydon
What a cracking day for weather and cars 8-) Someone said there were c 3k MGs there but I doubt it was that many but the organisers were allowing cars on the grass embankments so probably underestimated the turnout. Spitfire flypast thrown in as well from the BBMF :thumbsu: Could have done with a fe...

Re: NC500
Hi Ash - sorry a bit confusing as that included the journey to Inverness from the Borders. We also did a few minor detours to take in Plockton and The Black Isle. We went clockwise and my hunch was we were going against the traffic. Did think of a rack but decided to try and stash it all in the rear...

NC500
Well my wife and I completed the circuit which was a total of 1125 miles over 9 days. The TF didn't miss a beat and performed well in all types of weather we experienced on the trip. Surprisingly decent boot so were able to pack in 2 x cabin type bags, 2 x decent sized day sacks and a king size duve...

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?
Thanks Charles. Got a bit of a maintenance 101 situation. Changing wiper motor and new set up now installed. However I'm trying to replace the retaining nut on the wiper spindles but don't have enough thread to get a bite. Am I right that both the rubber ring and washer sit directly underneath the n...

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?
Bit of a mixed day really: 1. Unplugged the exhaust actuator. Gives the exhaust a bit of a beefier tone but surprised that it was a tad intrusive in the cockpit more than I expected. I'll see how I get on over the next few days. 2. Wipers making a strange noise so watched a few vids and cleaned the ...

TF ride height query
My r/n/s is 340mm but the remaining corners are all 350mm. The tolerance for the rears are 354 plus, minus 10mm so it's outwith the recommended height so presumably this will compromise the handling. I know it'll have to be checked by a garage but new spring required and probably get the r/o/s done ...

MG seat logo refresh
Bought a set of the half alcantara seats with the MG logo a few months ago to brighten up the interior. The logos are a bit faded but did improve after careful washing. However I could do with them being brighter so has anyone faced this before and found a solution please?
