Re: Falling for my MG!
Hi and welcome to the fold. Hope you have deep pockets as they need lots of tlc. Is your car a V V C model or just a 18i. The only thing which may give trouble is the gas suspension as the bags which hold the gas are getting to be like hen's teeth. Some people have changed sub frames to the TF type ...

Re: Next performance mod..??
The head on a vvc is better than a 18i to start with, so you get less torque/bhp per £ spent as you already have 25 bhp more and the head work only seems to make a difference at 70+ mph. Head work is about £450-£550 I paid £500 3yrs back to a firm called sabra heads who are very good with K series h...

Re: Next performance mod..??
I would think it would make an improvement BUT if you would notice it would be another thing. In theory it should give a boost in torque
You say it is lacking low down which is odd as my 160 is all low down. The 160 should make it's torque at 2000- 4800 rpm. mine is O K at 1750 rpm in 4th most times

Re: WTD PRT set up for TF
I don't think a prt will help with over heating I don't know what you have tried but how about giving the rad a good reverse clean and look to see if it is partly covered in mud etc I presume you have changed the thermostat One other thing you can try is run the engine with the filler cap off to let...

It would seam some have trouble and others don't, perhaps when MG made the F & TF they made the holes for the washers on some cars 12" from the top of the bonnet and others 14"
