Re: Original MGF Luggage Carrier

It's amazing how much you can actually get in the boot. When we did Italy there were two pull alongs, a holdall, coats and other stuff and there was still room. Don't forget that there is "some" space under the bonnet, and if your passenger or yourself are not too tall you can get small items behin...

Re: Original MGF Luggage Carrier

Thank you everybody for your input, but having given it some extra thought, I’m going hold off from buying a rack for now, as I suspect a couple of holdalls in the boot will carry enough kit for what we need, making the rack redundant before I’ve even purchase it.

Re: Original MGF Luggage Carrier

You have a good point about drilling holes and the potential for rust developing. For the moment I am going to hold off getting a rack, as most likely I won’t need to use it, as we can travel lightly most of the time, especially me, as not so long ago I used to be able to carry enough in two motorcy...

Re: Original MGF Luggage Carrier

Hi Ash & Geoff, Thanks for your swift responses and tips. I did find the original drawing somewhere and realised there was a template involved. I’ll keep my eye open in both MG and BMW Z3 circles on the off chance something will pop up. So far, the only rack that has popped up though was on EBay Aus...

Re: Original MGF Luggage Carrier

Hi Ash, I was asking about the silver one where you have to drill the boot lid. I was intrigued to read that it is the same as the BMW Z3 rack. I was even more intrigued to read that the luggage case was made by the same people who made the BMW motorcycle panniers. Looking at the picture, the lock a...

Original MGF Luggage Carrier

Hi Everyone,

Does anybody know if it is still possible to get hold of an original/genuine MGF luggage carrier, part No. VTF100050?

Cheers

Re: New MGCC member

Hi Patricia, are you still collecting your TF from Trophy Cars on Saturday?
Matt called me this morning to say my MGF is ready to collect, so I’ve said I hope to be up at Trophy Cars about 10:00 on Saturday morning.

Another new MGCC member

Hi Everyone, I’ve just joined the MG Car Club, having agreed to the purchase of a low mileage 2001 MGF from Trophy Cars. Hoping to pick it up in the next couple of weeks, once it has been serviced and had the stainless steel heating pipes and wind stop fitted. Fortunately, it will be our weekend car...
