Re: Brean Stages Rally 26th - 27th Jan '08

Great day and good to see that Karl Broad is now just one second behind the Audi A3 in first place. Might just be an MG victory! Not bad for a 25 year old car!

Colin, yes the sound of the 6R4's is still running though my ears!

Entry list now available: http://www.weston-super-maremotorclub.com/PDF/Brean%20Entry%20List_210108.pdf 3 MG Metro 6R4's and a MG ZR to cheer on! Current forecast is for sunny intervals and a temperature of 10 degrees C! So who's coming on Saturday to support the 6R4s whilst they are still running? ...

So it looks like it's just us and you then Colin, unless anyone else is coming? It will need to be Saturday for us.

Re: Brean Stages Rally 26th - 27th Jan '08

Depending on numbers (and cars available) we could always try and get 4 in a car (obviously not in an F/TF!!) to reduce the cost per head.

Re: Strange Clunk

Looks like the car has "healed" itself over the weekend. Parked it in the garage on Friday evening and when I drove to work this morning, no more strange clunks!

Strange things cars! Let's hope they don't start again in the morning! :)

Inflating tyres with Nitrogen!

Reading the local paper at the in-laws last night and there was an advert for a tyre centre. The ad was extolling the virtues of having your tyres inflated with Nitrogen! Apparently this reduces tyre wear, improves fuel economy and prolongs the life of the wheel. Has anyone heard of this before? If ...

Strange Clunk

I drove over what I thought was a cigarette packet the other morning with the near rearside wheel ~ problem was it was either a piece of wood or metal! I now have a small clunking noise when I change gear (particularly between 1st & second and second & third). I've had the car looked at by a garage,...
