The Auto trader Aurora was apparently built in May 04 so not one of the later MY05 ones.
My Aurora 160 is the MY05 one with the uprated suspension, glass rear screen etc. Mine also had the TF badge under the left cluster (now removed) & it has the 160 badge & flags on the front wing.

Maybe if you go on one of the facebook groups, Im certain someone will do you a swap. Mgf & Tf facebook group or mg exiles or mg worldwide.

I have not heard one complaint yet about Falken ZE914s. I would seriously consider them above anything else.

If it says something like 215 40 16 XL or 86W then they are the extra load tyres I believe.

The thing is, they arnt rubbish on all TFs. I know people who are very happy with them. Problem is, you wont know until you try them & then its too late to swap them.
I tried for months to get Toyo to take them back & refund but they refused.

I removed the 16" Malaysian Toyos from my 2005 TF160 as I thought the handling was terrible. The new 16" Toyos seem to be fine on a MGF, its TFs that seem to have the problem.

They dont make GSD2 anymore, they are now GSD3 but Goodyear & MG said definately not recommended for F / TF.

Falken ZE914 are a recommended tyre & I fitted them in place of the Toyos & they are excellent.

I firmly believe its the 16" Malaysian rear Toyos where the issue is.

Problem is, there is only one recommended tyre available now. The Falken ZE 914. The Toyo T1r that was recommended is no longer available. Its a different tyre with the same name & as far as I know it has not been tested..
