thanks for the replies :thumbsu: i'm getting the suspension pumped back up tomorrow morning so i'll report back whether it was just that (and my lack of mgf knowledge) causing the bad handling i'll stick with the 17's for a bit then and if that's still not great then i've got some 205/50/15 federal ...

i've got some toyo t1r's 195/50/15 to go on the front and some federal ones to go on the back 205/50/15... will this be okay? fresh out of money at the moment lol and these are what are in my garage spare

It does look alot lower than standard by the way, i thought it may have been lowered... can these cars actually be Lowered? :oops:

thanks for reply... i don't know much about the suspension thats why i asked , i know it wasn't the usual shocks/springs setup but thats all. i may have just over played it as i was used to the MX5 and to be honest the handling for a 19yr old car on standard shocks/springs was incredible 8-) it woul...

Might upset a few people with this post that love their MG's but here goes lol Just bought the MGF, to replace a MK1 MX5, to be honest the handling is poor, the '5 was miles better for a much older car. The car sits low to the floor on bends at high speed on A-roads and the lack of body roll is roll...

I don't know anything technical about it but all i know is this... when i buy a car i always drain out the tank fairly low of old petrol and fill it to the brim with 99RON, then fill up with the normal petrol as sticking with the 99 made no difference in performance after the first tank I guess it h...

oh dear, thats not going to make selling or buying new wheels easy as i doubt they make many aftermarket alloys for triumphs :cry: on a side note, i used to live in shepshed :D

I've got my wheels up for sale on ebay with no takers, i want to broaden the advert to other car owners but it has a rare stud pattern

We just bought an MGF with some nice wheels but they are bit too blokey for my missus so she wants to sell them so i've got to find some wheels she likes aswell now

i've got lots of newb questions to ask soon, mainly about how the hell you work on a rear engine car that most of the engine is covered up.. changing the plugs for example looks a mammoth task :sf:
