Thank you for that, will investigate further.

It would be better to find the cause, prevention is better than cure.

Re: battery drained - how ?

I don't think the fuel gauge draws current when the ignition is off, other wise it would move when you were filling up.

There is a relay in the ECU that remains live for 10 minutes after ignition off, it has been known to stay open, IIRC it draws about 2 amps.

A sticking TPS doesn't have a fault code in MEMS 1.9 or MES 2.0J.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Sorry to hear of your friends loss.

http://www.trophycars.co.uk/ would be very interested in the car if your main concern is a quick sale.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Sorry, no MG or Rover (except maybe the ZT/75) was prewired for an auto-changer.

Once it starts to fail the foam is beyond salvage, I wouldn't waste time trying to save it.

Dealer or repair?

MJS Auto marine had a place in West Worthing (Goring) but they have now moved to Littlehampton, although Mike himself lives in Lancing.

In it's current state it is not worth much more than £300.

Cracked screen.
Cracked bumper.
No MOT.
Running fault the garage can't fix.

Re: raw data for MGF trip computer

Good progress but a couple of thoughts... There is a speed signal in the mk1, IIRC it comes from the speedo head and is used for ABS, I took a signal from here for my cruise control. I don't think there is a oil temp sensor in any car. It is a value in MEMS 3 but not actually read by anything. Won't...
