So can anyone recommend someone to replace and fit my back screen? I live in Godalming (near Gui...

Alternator Woes!!
Help please! My beloved F wouldn't broke down and the recover guy has told me that the alternator has died on account of him measuring no charge going back to the battery (as well as all the other typical signs and symptoms). My old man reckons he can switch one out for me but i'm having trouble det...

Re: really dumb question i know lol

That's the colour of my F, althought it looks black on my avatar as i'd b...

Bad luck!
Don't beat yourself up about unzipping it. Unless you're going to have the roof down for over an hour, it's not really practical to unzip every time.
My zip is on the verge of going so it's six of one, half a dozen etc......

My first true Register spot today!
Saw a silver F in Billericay, Essex at about 4 o'clock driving on Mountnessing Road towards Radford way. I was going to wave but i spent too much time admiring the Register grill plate!

Redux and so on??
Whilst in Halfrauds, i often look at the shelves of products such as Redux, and other fuel/engine maintaining liquids that promise to add benefits to fuel economy and the health of the engine. Does anyone here use and recommend these products or are they unecessary (nice to have if anything) additiv...

Or try driving off on the slightest bit of gravel, you'll know for sure then when you see the plume of dust in your rear view mirror!

I was driving behind a Silver F in Guildford yesterday with the plate T4 VVC.
With a plate like that, there's half a chance the owner sails these shores!

Re: mgf 1998 1.8i noise coming from engine when in neutral
Can anyone help me here as i've found this old thread after noticing tonight that this noise is getting a little worse on my F. I first noticed it last week but wasn't too bothered as I remember my first F doing it.
But after a drive tonight, this noise seems a bit worse.
Should I be worried?

Re: Bad day - someones hit my precious :(
I think you're right to as you were doing him a big favour by not contacting your insurance immediately after the incident, and at least this way you are protected.
If he does come back to you and want to settle it privately, i'm sure your firm wouldn't mind dropping the claim.

Re: A few extra Gee Gees?
I've decided to start this weekend with the purchase of a Pipercross Viper induction kit. :thumbsu: This kit seems to provide a lot in terms of keeping the air cool whilst also using the ram-air principle. However at £180, it's obviously not cheap so I wanted some views on whether this is the best c...
