Re: 2005 MG TF135 FOR SALE

Hi Jerry, thanks for your comments. Jacquie died 6 & half years ago. I've had a triple heart bypass done in 2019 and just recently a minor cerebellar stroke - but I'm still going though. My gp expected me to die before my wife - I've proved him wrong. I haven't been on this website for a while becau...

2005 MG TF135 FOR SALE

Hi fellow MGers, after 14 years of ownership it is now time to sell my lovely MG TF135 - I've hardly used it since I lost my beloved wife to cancer. Built just before the end of MGR in 2005 but was not registered until 2006. The car is in Jersey but was first registered in the UK. Mileage is just un...

Hi, the door mirrors are sprung loaded and do not fold. You will break them if you try.

Re: Bell crank replaced, shifting problems.

Hi Barbour, It's the left/right movement of the gear stick. I suspect that when you move across the box that the gearbox end of the cable is not fully in line with the fore and aft movement of the gear change shaft in the gearbox. Hence the difficulty in getting 1st and 2nd gear. Does that make sens...

Re: Help with my Battery / Alternator / ECU issue

Disconnecting the negative lead while the engine is running will toast the alternator.

Hi guys, I'm sure you will all enjoy yourselves here in Jersey. Unfortunately I will not be able to come and say hello to you all. All the local car clubs are invited, so you'll have plenty cars and fellow car enthusiasts to see and chat to.

Re: 280mm BRAKES

Hi Jerry, Well spotted - I need to go to Specsavers!! Penny didn't drop that the PO had put the discs the wrong (!) way round. Could be the reason that there's less dust on the front alloys. I doubt it would cause reduced braking under normal circumstances, though. I will swap them over when I get r...

280mm BRAKES

Hi guys, I fitted 280mm brakes to the rear last summer (15 inch wheels), so now have 280mm discs all round with EBC Green Stuff all round as well. The previous owner had already fitted 280mm discs and EBC Green Stuff to the front. I've only just had chance to test the performance at higher than the ...

Rob - you're a glutton for punishment! Do tell me that your nephew has given a large wad of 50's to take it off his hands.
