2004 MGTF Silver £1750

Hi all. Just popped back on here to put this ad for my TF on here. My 2004 TF has to go, managed to sell my MGF far too cheaply :-( but I'm getting rid of the TF too, soooo... 2004 MGTF135, Silver, 10 months MOT, on SORN, stainless underfloor pipes, glass rear screen, still wearing a new set of wint...

Re: Cars on Ebay

Quick update. The MGF has been sold to an MG enthusiast, the family had an F which was written off by some clown. They also own a TF. As the MOT had expired on mine he asked if it was possible to get it done, my mechanic took it last night and it sailed through without even an advisory. Kicking myse...

I wonder how much stainless under-floor pipes would be for that?

Naw, I'd never get it into my drive. :-)

It would make an excellent project. [hint]

The engine is a corker, great for track days [nudge]

Cheers Ontor.
I shan't be a stranger, already got a bid on an MGZR. Two seaters, even two of them, are no good to carry grandchildren around.

Re: New antifreeze: filling from dry

Sorry for not getting back Rob, these 16 hour shifts are getting to me. The mechanic I was talking to said it was polymer based. No idea what that implies. However, as the TF has passed the MOT that can only mean the F must be due soon :-( LOL I'll make sure to get a more specific answer from him ne...

Re: New antifreeze: filling from dry

I was speaking to my mechanic the other day while he was MOTing the TF and he was telling me about a polymer antifreeze which allegedly doesn't "find" weak spots in the system. I reminded him that the TF was supposed to use OAT, anyone heard of the polymer antifreeze he was babbling about? Would it ...

Re: Alarm system

If it does turn out to be the wiring by the boot hinge, I've got two cars and they have both suffered from this problem, it's easiest to solder a short section of wire into each broken wire to extend it and make it more flexible. I've also removed the clip securing it to the boot hinge to decrease t...

Re: Who is buying, and who is sitting it out ?

I've just a quarter of a tank left thanks to a recent round of hospital visiting and mercy runs. Our local garage has sold out and the Tosco was queued fifty yards or more to get on the forecourt. I'd rather walk to work than queue for petrol. The last time there was a fuel "shortage" my wife and I ...

Don't know about a new clutch. More likely the engine or gearbox mounts have worn or broken.

I'd snap them up tomorrow but the cost of picking them up would be too much. Any idea what postage (courier) would cost?

BRG 1996 1.8 MPi for sale

MOTed until April, been SORNed since June last year. Fantastic engine with 82000 mls but the bodywork has a few small dents. No rust apart from a little around the OSF side indicator. Had a new cat for the MOT last year and it has two brand new (50 miles) Toyo T1Rs at the rear. Front tyres are Conti...

Re: Amazing drives on North Wales Roads

When I bought my F the headlights were terrible, so much so that I hated using it at night. Adjusting the aim didn't seem to improve things but on closer inspection the headlight adjusters weren't working correctly. They are a sort of ball and socket affair with a ball on the end of the nylon adjust...

It's OK Station, they are from the south where water quality isn't as good as ours. LOL They get the stuff we don't need.
