Re: MGF20 Time Line cars

Right, just sent Keith a grovelling apology.

I'd have volunteered my car for the 2002 entry Adrian but I offered it to Keith to put outside the club marquee.

Re: Trophy Cars MGF specialists Peterborough

It must be difficult to maintain 100% customer satisfaction when every car you sell is between 10 and 20 years old. Lets face it, any trader who goes into business and focuses on one marque, may love that marque but they also need to make a living and I can imagine that the profit margins are very t...

Re: Trophy Cars MGF specialists Peterborough

Seems like a minor list of faults which with closer inspection on your part before buying they may have fixed for you? For what it's worth and for balance, my car came from Trophy Cars- I was fully aware that I was looking at an 11 year old car and the only fault I found was a paint defect which the...

Re: Brian Johnsons Cars That Rock MG night

probably just way too many cars to cram into a one hour show- aside from the ones we've already said were missed off, also omitted was the MGA

Still enjoyed the show though

Re: error codes and emmissions on mgtf

It's not unheard of for decat cars to pass emissions, just that it's the very rare exception rather than the established norm. Certainly common practice is to reinstall the cat for the MOT and I guess It really depends on how clued up your MOT station is as well as I was under the impression that it...

Re: error codes and emmissions on mgtf

PO313 if memory serves is a misfire after low fuel level. Fill up with the best grade fuel and take it for a long and spirited drive. I'd be inclined to change the fuel filter if it's been run low too. P0300 is if memory serves could be faulty coil packs, plugs, O2 sensor or collapsed valve or bad c...

Not quite - the official MGR method is - ignition to position 2 but don't start the engine, firmly fully depress the gas peddle to...

Re: New MGF Owner

Hello and welcome! Hope you enjoy the car once these minor things are sorted. High idle, turn the key to position 2 and stamp on the accelerator pedal 5 times in 5 seconds, turn the ignition off and then on again- that'll reset the throttle sensor. Failing that, check the cable to the throttle body ...

Re: How should an MGF ride?

MGF's at 20 years old are generally faring a whole lot better than MGB's did at the same age and not prone to anywhere near similar levels of rust and decay. Far fewer F's produced than B's though which could make them endangered were in not for the avid support of enthusiasts and suppliers alike, s...
