Re: Compliance Washers or Poly bushes

Thanks Plezier, what a fab reply :thumbsu: Was thinking about just biting the bullet and getting this kit from Rimmers... http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-RGB100540PK ...which looks like it covers both ends of the tie bar. If I'm gonna be undoing all of this I might as well replace the lot at the...

Re: Compliance Washers or Poly bushes

Over time I guess I will do most or all of the above Alan, and whenever I replace something I do tend to replace the bolts etc. But for now it's just the tie bar bushes.; -)

Re: MGF (2000) DIY electric boot unlocker.

This is where I located the button. On this car it's wired to the cigar lighter like many others, but on a previous F I tapped in to the electric window delayed live instead, which gave a handy few seconds after switching off the ignition. I may re-do this one as I am forever hitting the button afte...

Re: MGF (2000) DIY electric boot unlocker.

I have that same kit, and fitted a brushed steel button next to the ciggie lighter. I may have a go at relocating the solenoid though as Mykel's installation above is much neater!

Will try and get a photo of the button later, it was about £3 from Maplin IIRC.

Compliance Washers or Poly bushes

Hi Folks, I'm in the process of sorting out the handling on the F. Have finally lowered it, fitted adjustable shocks and had the spheres re-charged. Am now looking at the tie bar before I take her off for a 4 wheel alignment. What are peoples thoughts on the better option, compliance washers or poly...

Re: Lowering Pins - DIY fitting?

I'm not going to let this thread die gracefully!. I have now lowered my car by reducing the size of the displacer cone and knuckle as per Rob and Dieter's sage advice! I also have adjustable shocks (GAZ). I suspect that as a result of this, and the fact that my spheres have been re-charged with nitr...

Re: Need help

Hi and Welcome aboard. I have moved your thread to the General board as you will get more replies that way. A good place to start is on Rob Bell's site, which has a great buyers guide that I referred to back in 2003 when I bought my first F and again in 2013 when I got the bug again and bought my th...

Great to see you all at the weekend, thank you for braving the early morning wind and rain. At least it brightened up later on.

See you all at the next one.

Re: East Mids Pub Natter - Tuesday 17th

Hi. We have this meet each month on the third Tuesday. There will be some Saturday breakfast meets throughout the year as well. Hopefully this year we will get on a couple of runs out and to some of the bigger events as a group.
