You could put a simple SPST switch in line with the engine bay sensor... Just cut either wire and run two leads to. the switch somewhere in the dashboard of your choosing. For what it's worth... the relay has a protection diode in series in the coil wiring. Apparently this is to protect the. ECU against back EMF. I can see the logic. I guess you might get away with a standard relay but it would be a risk. So when you take your red relay out and test it, it will only c...
