Hi
Is the A/C compresor clutch drive plate available as a seperate part and were can I get one, It would be preferable as I would not have re-gas the system.
My car is an MGF 2001 MY 2002 MKII Auto.
Thanks Eric

Re: 48mm throttle body
Thanks for your input Cartoys. Am having an ongoing problem with my revs intermitently not returning to idle when the clutch is depressed or neutral is selected. Just in the process of eliminating suspects is all, hence my thought to clean the thottle body along with the IAC valve and have another ...

Re: 48mm throttle body
Hi Allan The other thing you can try is to put an injector cleaner in the tank before your next fill up, Valvoleen is reasonably priced. Regards Cartoys Adelaide. Sorry Allan! I got the injector cleaner wrong that will clean the injectors only, will not help the throttle body as only air passes thr...

Re: Diagnostic readers
Checked it, Thorsten uses this interface with moDiag. Quite a bargain at 30 Euros, but hard to find in the UK. I could order one and post it to you if you like. Hi Again Mykel. I am afraid my German is very poor trying to understand the moDiag web site! I have downloaded moDiag Express and applied ...

Re: Diagnostic readers
Hi Cartoys, the magical number is 522573, from this VIN on all Fs were equipped with the MEMS3 engine control unit which is fully OBD-II compliant. So yours is, as are all Steptronics and Trophies btw. As to the system the choice depends largely on what you intend to do with it. For on-board monito...

Re: 48mm throttle body
Hi Allan I have just fitted an alloy 48mm on my car as the plastic ones can cause a sticky throttle when they get hot because they distort with the heat in the engine bay, this maybe what you are experiencing, there is not a lot of cleaning you can do, first lubricate the butterfly spindle with fine...

Hi All I have a problem determing what the diagnostic compliance standard is on my MKII MGF 2000 MY 2001 CVT auto VIN SARRDWBGJ1D523898. I belive n the UK, these cars were really only compliant (as required by law) from January 2001 for OBDII/EOBD! The reason being I am looking to buy a good quality...

Re: MGF bad starting and misfire
Possible there's a different fuse layout depending on spec (aircon etc) & model (pre & post 2000), 24 is commonly the blower and 19 the engine management (MEMS ECU). But yes, pull out 19 if that says Blower & leave in anything marked Starter or ECU/MEMS The most common wiring loom issue is the flex...

Re: MGF bad starting and misfire
Your symptoms are not identical but have some similarities with an electrical issue reported here recently. It seemed to improve the starting/running when all the cabin fuses except 14 and 19 were removed, which pointed to a short circuit somewhere that was causing interference with the LT circuits...

Re: MGF bad starting and misfire
The coils should not be arcing, so I suspect that this is the clue to the problem with the ignition circuit. Is a coil pack failing? Which HT leads have been replaced? I have replaced a new coil pack that I thought was arcing and I have fitted another new cam shaft sensor also 2 new HT leads one fr...

MGF bad starting and misfire
I have a 10/2000 My 2001 MGF the car has done 123,000km. The engine will not start normally and when I do get it to start by checking the wiring for lose conections etc, the engine has a bad misfire. A new cam angle sensor and NGK PFR6G-11 spark plugs were fitted at 57,000km and I have just fitted 2...
