So you have had the head replaced 300 miles ago,
and now it's not running perfectly,

logic suggests something has not been plugged back in correctly.

I would go back over all of the electricals that were unplugged to change the head.

Not quite ready yet and I couldn't wait but hopefully they get this new source sorted out soon.

Those clips are pretty reliable -

This does not make me feel any better, 8 years on the road covering thousands of miles and it decided to go missing
on the main straight at a track day. Finding the old clip will be impossible.
