The soft top is in excellent condition, it was brought from B&G and has a glass rear screen that works perfectly. The wheels are also in good condition (no curbing), Stainless exhaust, Stainless rear h...

Re: Wanted: MGF driver side door hinges

When I fitted them on the F I didn't have to take the wings off just the wheel and liner, but it was a right pain in the a**e aligning the doors and I still don't the gap is consistent all the way round. So like yourself I am thinking of getting a pro to realign the door.

Re: Wanted: MGF driver side door hinges

Rimmer Bros and Brown & Gammons sell new hinges but are you sure you need them? It is normally the bushes that fit inside the hinge that have worn or the pins themselves. I tried to buy new pins for Cath,F a while ago but they was not available at the time. Mike Satur makes Stainless steel bushes (w...

Re: Hood cleaner or restorer?

A second vote for Renovo Restorer, we use Fabsil (from a can not aerosol) to waterproof after, much cheaper than branded hood waterproofer and in our opinion does a much better job.

Re: mgf died

A friend had almost the same symptoms yesterday in their TF, turned out to be the battery.
I am probably asking the obvious but have you tried jump (not bump) starting it?

Re: Fabsil waterproofer?

We have used this for the last five years on Cath's F and can highly recommend it.
We give the hood a good clean, treat with Renovo Soft Top Reviver

Then when dry put the Fabsil on with a clean paint brush

I have used DRMGS a few times for parts, both Cath's F and my ZT and never had a problem with delivery, price or quality

Re: Car shaking at speed

I dont know anything about the science behind the Tyre debate, but can talk from experience. When we got Cath's F it had a cheep pair of matching tyres in the front and a different make of matching cheep tyres on the back. When we changed the back pair to Toyo's it made some difference to the handli...
