Can anyone suggest a garage/mechanic in the New Forest area that would change a cambelt on an MGF? I have seen an MGF for sale in the New Forest that needs a cambelt, I live in Somerset, but don't want to risk driving it all the way home, so would like to get cambelt done locally if I can.

If your MGF is still for sale, can you please let me know if the head gasket has been changed? and the date the cambelt was last changed.

Does it have any rust? particularly around the side air intakes and sills.

I am looking to buy an MGF, ideally in nightfire red, or 75th or Abingdon - in good condition with service history and cambelt changes up to date, around the Somerset/Dorset/New Forest area.

Well we have now moved down to East Coker nr Yeovil so will keep an eye on your forum but had to part with the MGF so now only have my MG roadster .
