Re: getting the ABS to activate

I would Have thought you should be able to get the wheels to lock up on a dry road. (abs kick in) A clean and check of the calipers may be in order whilst your changing the fluid

Lickey Hills garage on the hill down to Bromsgrove ask for Ty. He looks after my wife's car and does the MOT's on mine.
I am about ten minutes further south, but I am away this weekend. Mon afternoon I could take a look and hook up my T300 if you like. PM me if you are interested.

Re: So I'm not a fan of crimp connectors

Oooh! I could have done with some of them at the weekend pesky lawnmower lead was breaking down at the crimp by the switch .I had to join a new lead to the old one as the switch fitting was bespoke and tamper proof.

Re: mems1 to mems3

The loom part interest me. ATM I am considering lots of options for my next mgf related "fix" I am watching your project with interest. I had to go through a '97 Nissan micra loom when I changed the engine in my buggy to the 16v micra engine. I enjoyed that. It was complicated by not having a simila...

Re: Fuel Pump Gasket Changed - Car Will Not Start

If the pin was loose, then it wouldn't make a good connection and it would arc. The arcing will generate heat and cause the discolouration. It most definitely isn't good.

Re: Clutch? clutch slave? or something else? :(

A clutch slave seal kit is one of the easiest things to do, and fairly cheap. I would do it, especially as old hydraulic fluid is amber coloured.
if you are south of Brum I could probably give you a hand/ encouragement.

Re: Locked keys in the boot of my mgf

Right, now go to the local heel bar and get a key cut and stick it in the coin part of your wallet. A cheapy thin key is always in my wallet. It works as a totem to prevent you locking your main key in.... well it has for me :)
