Took the car out yesterday for another run, all ok for first 20mins then temps began to rise, Hissing from the back end, took a look, steam coming out of the side of the expansion bottle, so that must be split.

No Leak,
Put in a litre of new oil, now its reading full???? Have run car up to temperature since with no problems, I thin fan not cutting in, fuse all o.k. Car booked in for a once over next week

Nightmare of an afternoon. Car in traffic started to really over heat. Got out of traffic and pulled up in tescos car park. Car really hot, oil temp in red. Got out and checked oil and water. I had that dilemma when I bought my Range Rover, so I paid for a Car Inspection Service to go and look at it for me, they give the car a complete once over and produce a written report and phone you up to go through it. It does cost a bit (£300) so it all depends how much the car is, but the report ...

I thought when I watched 'For the Love of Cars' they modded a minis cones and came up with some small springs and adapters, would that be an option for the F/TF?

I have a Trophy in Trophy blue, I have fitted Gaz adjustable shocks which do help make the ride slightly more bearable. You only realise how bumpy roads are when you have a Trophy. Valve guide seals I suspect.
The black ali bits are carpet trims that tuck into the door surround rubber the are screwed in to keep the wayward carpet under control.
