Took the car out yesterday for another run, all ok for first 20mins then temps began to rise, Hissing from the back end, took a look, steam coming out of the side of the expansion bottle, so that must be split.

No Leak,
Put in a litre of new oil, now its reading full???? Have run car up to temperature since with no problems, I thin fan not cutting in, fuse all o.k. Car booked in for a once over next week

I had that dilemma when I bought my Range Rover, so I paid for a Car Inspection Service to go and look at it for me, they give the car a complete once over and produce a written report and phone you up to go through it. Valve guide seals I suspect.

The black ali bits are carpet trims that tuck into the door surround rubber the are screwed in to keep the wayward carpet under control.
