Re: MG Era Day @ Brooklands 7th April 2013
Had hoped we would make this again this year, but it clashes with a family birthday celebration. Hope you all have a good day.

Re: Engine Indicator Light Illuminated - code P1521
Jerry, I remember when the BBS was a real hive of activity in the 90's. I was a regular poster and reader then, but these days .... I don't disagree that it may be the connections - in fact I hope it is, but the fault code is fairly specific and I had hoped someone could identify the exact area to c...

Re: Engine Indicator Light Illuminated - code P1521
Geoff, sorry, but that's not correct. I have quoted what the MG handbook says with regard to the MiI - solid amber - arrange service check; flashing AMBER - stop and fix. Having seen both variations in the past and used an OBD reader perfectly successfully to obtain valid fault codes and corrected f...

Engine Indicator Light Illuminated - code P1521
Cover all the bases for ideas. The missus took my TF to work at the beginning of the week and on the way home the Engine Indicator light came on. The handbook says: Engine indicator (AMBER) Illumination whilst driving indicates an engine fault - If car drives normally, arrange a service appointment ...

MGTF Cooling System issues after HGF
As some people will know, my TF has had HGF and has been in shop for some time. Thought all was fixed, but garage having issues with the cooling system. Chap who is doing the work is ex MG trained and has been doing the F/Tf for many years. He has vacumm fill and also does the usual cap off checks. ...

Re: confort ride
David, Sorry didn't twig the user name till now. I would try and get a drive in a car with my set-up before going for it. The ride quality is vastly improved, in fact I would say my car is now more comfortable then my GF's 2001 MGF  but you do loose an amount of steering feel, and I am having ...

Re: confort ride
I don’t believe the new TF does have the Bilstein dampers as standard. Pretty sure they are the same as what was fitted to the 2005 spec TF. I fitted the Bilstein damper kit 3 weeks ago, but I have used Eibach springs not the standard items as with my car being a '05, it had the softer spec springs...

Did Gerry ever say why he was sellig? Or have I missed that somewhere.
Real shame that a well modified car and a well known one is to be hacked about and lost. It wasn't my choice for cosmetics, but it was different and worth keeping for teh historic perspective if nothing else. Shame.

Re: Can't get cold air from heater??
As Adrian says, look at the basic mechanical bits as a start point. A very long time ago i wrote a How to for this for Paul Lathwell's MGF FAQ. It didn't make it there, but it can be found in a similar form in this http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=249874&highlight=heater thread on the Mg-...
