Engine light, help please
So i replaced my Brake pads today on my 2003 160 TF, took it for a drive around the block and my engine light has come on.
I have a cheap code reader which does read one code but displays NA 01/01 instead of a fault code.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

Re: Knocking noise
Thanks for all the replies. Certainly lots to check. Its quite a heavy knock so im not sure about loose brake pads but as it looks like ill be getting the car in the air with the wheels off ill certainly give them a look. Its almost as if there is something heavy and metal rolling forward in the boo...

Knocking noise
My Tf has a knocking noise that seems to be coming from the rear and seems to be either centre/nearside area. The odd thing is its not there all the time, it only knocks when braking from approx 40mph or more, i have tried heavy braking at 20 or 30 and its not there, there is no knock when running o...

Re: overheating issue (again)
Have you tried a new expansion bottle cap?
I had a similar problem where it would boil and steam out the cap and would loose alot of water but temp gauge stayed normal.
I was dreading all sorts like HGF but a £6 cap fixed it for me..... good luck

Servo bracket
I have seen a lot of positive comments on having a servo bracket to prevent servo movement.
I considering one for my TF.
Does it really make a big difference?
Where can i purchase one from? Looked on ebay but non listed.
Thanks

Re: Green anti-freeze
I have heard this too that they should not be mixed, i believe the recommended coolant is OAT, halfords sell this too.. may be worth draining it and refilling with a fresh load to be on the safe side.. buy 5l of the OAT concentrate and mix 50/50, that'll give you just about the right amount for a co...

Re: HELP.. Mg tf boils water
Happy to report that a new Expansion bottle cap seems to have cured this problem. Left it running for at least 20mins, then took it for a 15 min drive, left it running for a further 20 mins. No boiling of the water plus the fan kicked in twice while ticking over.... phew was dreading a more serious ...

Re: HELP.. Mg tf boils water
The cap is years old... I have tried it again and checked a few things... I again left it running but with no cap, after 20 or so mins i watched the water slowly rise in the tank until it started to overflow. I have checked the bleed points and its all bled ok. The temp was again staying just under ...
