LOL the very reason I am staying off eBay. I pretty much reasoned a whole car was worth buying for the leather seats and exhaust. Of course the red wine had nothing to do with it...

Re: MGF Panther

Well I can confirm he bought it for less than he sold his standard F for. It needs some work to get it up to scratch but is roadworthy. So between my direct group of friends we now have: 2x MGF MK1 MPI 1X MGF MK1 VVC 1X MGF TROPHY 1X MGF PANTHER MPI Not a bad collection going on. And in the extende...

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?

Went for a country lane spin, and a small blast around Milton Keynes. Getting much happier with the car now and starting to use some of it's handling and performance through the gear. I've got into the habit of block changing on the daily and it doesn't suit the TF. Neither does trying to select six...

Pub & Natter?

It's all gone quiet around here - have we all been washed away by the rains (if my dad sez the lawns need it one more time I shall bury him - mind you he retired to the South of France so maybe his do). I've tired the local MGOC and there a nice bunch, but they seem to want to do more committees tha...

Re: Problem solved storing hardtop

Hi a good idea! I have solved my storage problem by making a winch system that lifts the roof directly off the car and stores it in the roof of the garage it can then be refitted in a short time by one person. Ken b. I did exactly the same thing with a Stag hard top and the half/roof thing on a Fre...

Re: What are you going to put in place of the tax disc?

Car tax or vehicle excise to give it it's proper name does not fund the roads and hasn't for many many years. It does fund the roads, it goes into the exchequer and roads are funded out of the whole take. Surely it was only renamed as the take from vehicle duties was so high and the funding for he ...

Re: What are you going to put in place of the tax disc?

You're not thinking like politicians... it's obvious we will have a combined insurance / MOT disc in it's place. I comfortably predict that this will cost a mere £25 a year to administer. We as drivers will buy it on line, failure to display will result in a fine. The government department chosen to...

Milton Keynes meet... Worth a try?

Anyone know about this club - http://www.mkccc.com/ thinking of taking my TF there on Sunday? They meet on the 1st Sunday for an hour or so at a pub near the A5 in Milton Keynes. I know the pub - good large car park.

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?

Does opening a pack of MG dustcaps count? How about cleaning a tonneau cover? Ok then, putting together a bag of MGF cleaning materials in readiness for tomorrow? These must count for something, surely. :D they do say its the thought that counts. lol. gave mine a pat after I put bike in garage. im ...
