Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: what have you done on your mgf today?
......We could not fit the CD changer to the boot. I got one that goes with the CD3 single CD in the car as fitted to BMW Z3. However I seems the BMW has a power supply in the boot which the MG doesn't. My conclusion is that the MG never came with a changer and CD43 radio. If you know different let...

Re: RE: Re: what have you done on your mgf today?
Fitted new Gaz adjustable shocks. Good thing I did as at least one of the rear ones was about to give up the ghost completely. Somewhat frustratingly the car is SORN'd for the winter so the road test will have to wait until the spring. New alloy radiator next. Knackered rear shock.JPG Passed my mot...

Re: RE: Front Fog Bezels,trims.
They come up at auction sometimes. You might also think of looking at mgf front bumpers. Some have them still attached. Ashdunkle wrote:Hi,

Re: RE: Re: 1997 MGF help needed!
Hi Ashley I'm in Northants - I was driving down to Stevenage when the probs started. Hi. I was thinking it might be good to get it to a specialist assuming the garage who say it HGF are not. Trouble is the guy I use is at Chesham. From what you say it would be a trailer job to get there. Ash Sent f...

Re: What colour for Hardtop?
Once who asked "Who has colour coded their hardtop?" A few hands shot up. "Looks rubbish doesn't it?" He said. To be fair he used a different word to rubbish. All hardtops were supplied black I think. Unless there was a special edition maybe. I think silver looks good with blue. Ash Sent from my SM-...

Re: MG CD Player
OK. That is a cd43. I have the same one and have spent years trying to figure out if a cd changer was or can be attached. The changer for the early cars with the cassette players does not work. A couple of years ago there was someone on the bay selling an ipod adapter but I haven't seen it recently....

Re: RE: Re: Mgf boot tool kit & warning triangle
A picture would be great so I could compare Hi. I am away for a couple of days but I will get a picture when I get back. The triangle is a foldable one and attached under the boot lid which is also drilled for the bolt on rack and case which I think you asked about. Car will be at Bicester on 23rd ...

Re: Mgf boot tool kit & warning triangle
Hi Paul. The last toolkit was I think sold for 120ukp. If not more. You are right about the triangle. They fitted a number of Rover cars. I can get you a picture if it helps. Ash

Re: Alpine Multi Changer to CD43
Hi Sorry to resurrect a very old thread I have been working on this off and on for a long time (I wish I had just ordered the car with the changer). Anyway I think I have now tracked down the cable to go in the back of the CD43 and the changer that fits on the other end of it. One issue - the change...

Re: Bicester Heritage Sunday 23rd April
Hi
I booked a normal punter ticket (which I think was a couple of pounds more). I hope that on the day they will let me go to the right area. It would be great to meet for coffee (I will bring my mk2 MGF - assuming it will come out of the garage). Ash

Thank you the RAC chappie I spoke to knew nothing about this and said they would not be able to help...Time to speak to someone who knows their offerings better methinks. The Rover 75 CDT is actually insured through the RAC as well. Hi. Very few if any will cover vehicles over 10 years old if the c...

Pride of Ownership
Hi A week ago tonight was the Pride of Ownership at Chesham. A lovely evening with some amazing cars including a Lotus Cortina and a Model T Ford (oh and some lovely MGs too). I took my 1999 MGF There were about 4 MGFs and two TFs including a 1.6. As per most PoO there was a standard form for pickin...
