Re: Hood tension cable needed- DJQ100080

When we had a new soft top fitted to Cath's F they used the old cables, so logically if they go in they must come out. If i remember correctly the loop end is fitted over a metal tag which can gently lifted with a flat screwdriver to lift the loop over I might be completely wrong but hasn't the Ferr...

Re: Hood tension cable needed- DJQ100080

Hi, I am new to this forum and ownership of an MG TF. I realise that this post about replacing the hood tensioning cable is old but hopefully someone is still looking at it. I actually have a pair of cables on an old hood frame that I intended transferring to a new frame but I am not sure that they...

Re: Rear window for '01 Trophy soft-top.

Personally as Cath has had both plastic and glass rear screen we would go for glass every time.

New from MGF Mania £185

Re: 1999 MGF non runner

If you scrap the car i guess you would get around £40ish from a breakers.
To sell for parts i guess that would depend on why its a non runner and the overall condition of the car.
Some photo's of the inside and outside might create some interest.

Good Luck

I have always followed this procedure when Bleeding Cath's F

!0.5L sounds about right

I normally go through the whole Bleed procedure again after a few days, but that could just be paranoia :?

Re: Changing coolant pipes

I changed the pipes on Cath's F a few months ago (they had been in the shed for 2 years). Unfortunately its a case of just undoing the hose clip, loosening the hose and letting it flow. Be careful of your eyes the coolant bloody stings  I toyed with the idea of changing all the rubber hoses wh...

Re: Bleed Point

You wont undo it too much next time...... Hopefully not, but just in case i have cut down a long socket just enough to fit a small magnet inside and still be able to undo the bolt. Hopefully that with an extra long extension will keep my fingers out of the hot stuff :? Haha I have made the same mis...

Bleed Point

Well after taking over 2 years to plan with military precision (It took me that long to get the courage to tackle all the rusted bolts holding the protection plate in place  ) I have fitted the stainless under car coolant pipes to Cath's F :o .While i was under there i also replaced the hoses ...

Re: 2 button flip blade key fob for under £10!

My local hardware stores weren't interested, only directing me in the direction of anyother key cutting shop that had no interest either :( Frustrating, because otherwise this repackaged Nissan Micra blipper is good to go! Hi Rob, as you know i managed to get a key cut for Cath's F on Saturday at T...
