Re: Mud Flaps?? Any Point??
Mine didn't have them so I brought both front and rear original ones to fit. Painted area behind before fitting and remove them yearly to clean behind.
I guess some like them some don't

Re: Wanted coolant pipes +fuel pump
I'm going to be upgrading my fuel pump in the next couple of weeks so will have an old one spare if that's what you're after.
Unless of course your were after a brand new one.

Re: Weird ride height
Thanks reckless rat, the spheres were done last August by Ian Kennedy so I know they're perfect. And so is the ride height.
I guess I'll just live with it looking like it is.

Re: Weird ride height
The loss in height over time is actually loss in the nitrogen part of the suspension not the fluid! (If you loose all your nitrogen you have no suspension movement just rock hard height) But can you not just lose a bit of fluid to lower height say just 10mm thereby retaining the important Nitrogen?...

Re: Weird ride height
It is good for going over speed bumps and the measurements are what it's supposed to be. Just looks high to compared to others which may mean they're too lowBodgeItAndScarper wrote:Has anyone ever done the opposite and lifted an F? The pic at the top looks perfect for bad roads

...not wishing to steal hammond's thunder but I posted an advert with pics in March '18 to sell a new/unused/old stock CD413X, the original 'stock' TF radio/cd. You can see the original ad on page 4 of this classifieds forum :-)… ps it plays fm radio, mp3 and cda discs and is c/w the owners handboo...

Re: Weird ride height
When they're freshly pumped up to the proper height they do look a bit like this. I did mine over Xmas and my smart son suggested we take the F rather than the Landcruiser next time we head to the beach. LOL. The cars tend to sag lower over the course of a year. Thanks for the information. I'd rath...

Re: Weird ride height
When the car was set up / pumped up what was the weather like? The height should be set at 17C. The height will go up and down as temperature increases / decreases. If I recall correctly the height will increase or decrease by 0.8mm per degrees C. Therefore it should be adjusted for ambient tempera...

Re: Weird ride height
Unless... If the car has been fitted with lowering pins at some stage in its lifetime the correct ride height will be around 350mm. The very low profile tyres do make it look a bit weird though. Are they MGF approved sizes? Your insurance may be void if they're not declared. Correct sizes are here ...

Why does my MGF look like it's a 4x4? The measurement between centre of wheel and wheel arch seems to be within tolerance of 368mm +/- 10mm (although I measured it today and it is cold outside :? ) That was a picture taken in the summer btw  https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1966/44464538344_1511b...

Re: What shocks to fit?
The thing to bear in mind with a hydragas system is that the spheres themselves have built-in bump damping and the dampers themselves only really operate on rebound. DON'T under any circumstances fit shocks intended for the TF or other cars or for that matter after market dampers that are adjustabl...

What shocks to fit?
The title says it.
I've recently had the Hydragas units replaced on my F so was thinking of changing the shock absorbers next year.
So looking at Rimmers do I go for OEM, Spax or Gaz ones?
What are peoples experiences of Spax and Gaz ones or indeed can anyone recommend others?
Thanks
