Re: 2019 MGZS

Have now put a deposit down to secure one of the first 1000 MGZS Electric's sold in the UK, which come at a special price and with a free home charging point. Don't know whether I will end up with this or the Kia until the MG test drive, scheduled for next month when the dealer gets delivery of thei...

2019 MGZS

Off the topic of F's I realise but had a test drive today in a new ZS automatic. Had a one litre turbo engine and was a very impressive car. Looking to replace my day to day car which is a Mazda CX-5. Have already put a deposit on a Kia E Niro electric with delivery scheduled in Q1 2020 with a range...

Re: where to get Hydragas pumped up ????

Hi Colin and others, I know its a bit late but I am a newbie here, I read on the MG-Rover forum regarding hydrolastic pumps, I am in Norwich and it is difficult to find someone who still does the suspension pump ups for vehicles. Therefore I searched on ebay to purchase one and they are £70- 80 :o ...

Good luck with the project.
When you have specific questions you will receive loads of well informed advice on this forum.
At least it looks like you have a wonderful warm, dry and bright workshop for the project!
Enjoy.

Re: Starting second time

Many thanks for the suggestion RR, interesting result! Got the wife to turn on the ignition and listened for the fuel pump, which did indeed prime. When I got back in the car it started first time, presumably because it was well primed? Maybe a fuel filter issue? Although I did replace the filter ab...

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?

Changed the gearbox oil. What a difference! Always been a bit stroppy about engaging reverse but now slides in no problem. All round smoother gear change. Also changed the rear discs which were an MOT advisory last year and also fitted Green Stuff pads.

Starting second time

MGF was laid up for the winter and thanks to the battery conditioner started first time, as usual. However is now consistently needing two goes to fire up. Always started first time in the past and now always starts second time! Have given an "Italian tune up" but to no avail. Anyone any ideas where...

Everything I have read indicates that the puncture repair spray doesn't itself harm the tyre but you may struggle to get the tyre shop to wash it out of the tyre.
