This is just an idea but would disconnecting the battery and then using the key in the door lock work? As there is no power in the system then the central looking will not relock the door.

Hi and welcome to the forum Michael Heated seats are quite easy to retro fit to the F/TF. I have converted 2 sets so far and my lad was doing a 3rd this weekend. Both the visors in my Alfa 159 have vanity mirrors with flip up covers, when you open the cover on the drivers side a light comes on, open the passanger side and it doesn't - LOL
