Paint advice

I'm soon going to have an 'Aurora' TF. The car is generally in great condition but has the bubbling lower edge of the front wings where it meets the bumper. I'm going down the road of sourcing brand new wings as the paint will not be cheap and I don't want to do it again soon. At the same time I'll ...

Re: Aurora TF160 - My new toy!

I've got more info based on your suggestion.
Apparently it has a paint code of MBB which he thinks is starlight silver but the car was never painted that colour as it was changed during production.
I'll email the vin now I have it

Re: Aurora TF160 - My new toy!

In the summer of 05 when there were deals to be had I was in discussions with a dealership down south (I'm tempted to say SMC High Wycombe) to buy a 160 in Aurora with cream leather interior that was in their showroom. I walked away as they wanted more for it than I was willing to pay. I'd ordered a...

Eh...there is more than 1 TF160 Aurora.
There's one in Scotland on a 54 plate.
It's been with one of our MGFreedom members for many years.

Re: Institute of Advanced Motorists IAM

I passed mine at 20 and it absolutely stays with you. I think it enhances your enjoyment of the driving experience and I am fairly certain I'd probably not be here by now if I had not done this at an early age. (prompted by the fact that all my mates kept writing off their parent's cars!). I went on...

I usually have an intense dislike for all these chinese 'MG's but finally I see something in the 5 that is very appealling. It actually looks quite stunning. The 3 is horrible though as is the 6.
